Are you a single pregnant 1st time mom? Do you need a place of safety and shelter during your pregnancy? Are you wondering “now what”?

Maybe you’re worried about being able to feed your baby or afford a doctor for your baby. You don’t feel prepared to raise a child without help. We’d like to invite you into our home, The House of Esther, which provides, long term housing to 1st time mothers experiencing homelessness for any reason. We are a small space and cannot guarantee a place for you. However, we would love to help you find support and a place to stay if we are unable to house you.

Here’s what you need to know: Can I Live at The House of Esther?

– Must be 18 to 25 years old and a first time mom. We house mothers at all stages of pregnancy and after the child is born.

– No repeated history of violence.

– No history of severe mental illness.

– No serous substance addictions.

What Next? First, a case manager will interview you. You’ll take a pregnancy test and be referred for a medical exam to be sure of pregnancy. The Social worker will assist you with state application for Department of Social Services to provide you with medical and prenatal care. You will be interviewed to see if “The House of Esther is a good fit for you.
